Project : I Need People

I Need People is an exposition of my experience in Greg Hatton’s Process Workshop.  When Greg challenged us to bring a single photograph from our past that has meaning or represents our evolution as a photographer, I chose “Times Square Joy”.  The photograph represents the moment when I realized that the camera gives me an excuse to interact with people that I don’t know.  I usually show color landscapes and this workshop was a great opportunity to look back through my catalog to remember that I am more than a landscape photographer.  While landscapes can tell stories, trees don’t talk to me.  People talk and share the stories of their lives.  I need the joy of human connection.
