I am a Seattle-area based visual storyteller, driven by my desire to capture memories. I seriously picked up a camera in July 2018 and haven’t put it down since.
I’m often asked what I like to photograph, but I don’t want to be pigeon-holed. My work ranges from street photography to landscape. The common thread is that the image has to be personally meaningful. I’m inspired by Anthony Doerr’s short story, “The Memory Wall,” where an old woman slipping into dementia chooses to have her memories extracted and stored on retrievable cassettes. Photography is a far less dramatic means of memory preservation.
I have lived in the Seattle-area for almost 40 years. My undergraduate degree is in Computer Studies from Northwestern University and I have a Masters in Business Administration from University of Washington.
